Chewy Fruit Pizza

20 Minutes Prep + 15 Minutes Baking + 1 Hour Cooling

6 wedges (9 inch/ 23 cm pizza pie)




Position rack in bottom one third of oven. Preheat oven to 350˚ F (180˚ C).

In a bowl mix together all purpose and alpiste flours.

In a separate bowl, cream together brown sugar and margarine.

Add flour mixture to creamed mixture and   mix until mixture forms a soft ball.

Press into the bottom of a 9 inch (23 cm)   pie pan that has been sprayed with a nonstick cooking spray.

Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until edges are   lightly browned. Remove from oven and allow to cool completely.


In a bowl, beat together cream cheese,   sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy. Spread over cooled crust. Cool, slice and serve.

Decorate crust with well drained mandarin orange segments, fresh strawberries and/or blueberries.


In a saucepan, mix together marmalade, orange juice and cornstarch over medium heat until thickened and clear.

Cool slightly and spread over decorated fruit pizza.



1/2 cup (125 mL) all purpose flour

1/2 cup (125 mL) alpiste flour

1/4 cup (50 mL) brown sugar

1/2 cup (125 mL) soft margarine


8 oz (250 g) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup (125 mL) granulated sugar

1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla

2 - 10 oz/ 284 mL) cans mandarin orange segments

1 cup (250 mL) strawberry slices and/or blueberries


1/4 cup (50 mL) marmalade

1/4 cup (50 mL) orange juice

2 tsp (10 mL) cornstarch
