Alpiste is approved for human consumption in Canada, the United States and Europe. This tiny grain is packed with healthy oils and it is higher in protein than chickpeas, flaxseeds and quinoa. Alpiste can be consumed as a gluten-free whole grain on its own or as an ingredient that boosts the nutrition of all kinds of dishes.
